Flourless Crunchy Air Fryer Onion Rings
- 1 cup gluten-free oats
- 1 medium onion
- 1 large egg, beaten
- salt and pepper
Preheat your air fryer to 325°F
Place your beaten egg in a small bowl.
Using a food processor or blender, blitz your oats into fine bread crumbs so they are like thick flour and place them in a bowl.
Slice your onion into whole slices, like you imagine the inside of an onion ring to be.
Separate the onion slices into individual onion rings onto your chopping board.
Dip the separated rings into the oats ,then the egg, and then back into the oats.
Place in air fryer on 325°F for 8 minutes.
Remove from air fryer and allow to cool slightly before enjoying plain or with your favorite dips!
Recipe NotesAdd another minute or two of cooking time for crispier, more "well-done" tasting onion rings.
